18th-24th

Tuesday 18th- Michael had off work, Timmy had a dr.'s appt so he didn't come over. K had school and then Ella had speech w/ Ms. Kathy. Kaitlyne and I went to Ballet/tap, ella stayed home w/ daddy. I came home and dropped K off and then went to the girl scout adult volunteer meeting. Met with Sue, the new co leader for our troop. She helped explain a lot of things to Jason and I. Didn't get home until after 9pm.

Wednesday 19th-Ella went to Timmy's, I came back and did laundry with Michael (friends). Went back and got E, K got off the bus, Michael closed that night. I don't remember what the girls and I did that night.

Thursday 20th-Michael was off again. I had a co leader meeting w/ Jason at the library. We got a lot of things ironed out re: parent meeting and all that. Can't remember what else happened that day.

Friday 21st-Ella went to Timmy's and I volunteer at Kaitlyne's book fair at school. After that we stayed home all day I think?!?

Saturday 22nd-girls and I had a "no screen time" day. The girls played with some busy boxes, in their room, etc. and I hung out and cleaned, played with them, did laundry, etc.

Sunday 23rd-Michael had to work again today. Kaitlyne had her friend Sophia's party to go to. I dropped her off there for the party and Ella and I came back home to hang. Michael didn't get off until 8, so I went ahead and fed Kaitlyne dinner and put her to bed. Michael got home and we watched Dexter and he made Spicy chicken thighs for dinner.

Monday 24th-Ella and I went to a playdate at the museum w/ Allie and Jenn after I put K on the bus. Came home and got K off the bus and then we went to lunch at Sal's. After we were done there, I took the girls to freedom park to play. We stayed there for an hour and a half b/c it was sooo nice out and I know those days are numbered. Came home and Ella took a little nap. We had dinner and I had Kaitlyne go ahead and do her homework tonight b/c this is going to be a busy week this week. Got that out of the way. Michael is closing again tonight so Ella and I are doing laundry and waiting for him to get home. K went to bed at 8 :)

Busy day today. Another day of school for Kaitlyne, and Ella went to Timmy's house for a playdate. I spent the morning emailing about girl scouts, room parents, etc. After K got off the bus, we ate a quick lunch AT HOME (yay me for not going out to eat :) ) and then we headed over to Jenn's house for another playdate. The girls even got to play outside b/c it was so nice out.

When we got home, Ella was already napping in the car, and so I put her in bed and Kaitlyne hung out with me while I cleaned the kitchen. She played outside for awhile too and when I sent her up to her room around 5:00pm for quiet time, she fell asleep too! She must've been really worn out to have needed to take a nap.

Michael got home and I drove over to the PTA meeting. Got home afterward and had chicken fajitas for dinner. Getting ready to put K to bed now, busy Tuesday tomorrow!

Today was a lazy day. Michael had the day off so we spent most of the day hanging out around the house. I went to Barnes and noble around 4-6 to have some mommy time, ran to shoprite to get a couple things I forgot, and then came home. Kaitlyne went to bed early b/c she has school the next day, she's still doing well without pullups at night.

While I was gone to B&N the girls made banana muffins with Michael.

Saturday, 10/15

Busy day today. Michael had to work, so the girls and I had some errands to run. We went to target to get cat food and litter, then went to produce junction for our produce. Then we headed to shoprite, Kaitlyne has been begging me to go to the medford one b/c of the kids area, so I obliged and we headed over to that one. $100 later we were on our way home. I unloaded all the groceries and Ella was sleeping so I made Kaitlyne a late lunch and then we ran outside b/c the ice cream man was driving by and she always makes me feel guilty every time so I gave in this once :) She got a vanilla cone and I got a milkshake, pretty yummy!

Ella is getting to be such a big girl. She has been potty trained at home for awhile now (only when pantsless :) ) but she doesn't usually tell me when we're out and about that she has to go. Today when we were in the parking lot at shoprite, she said "mommy me pee pee" and so we rushed into the store so she could pee in the potty and she did great holding it until we got there. We had to go once before we left the store also :)

And Kaitlyne is doing great too! She has gone three nights without wearing a pull up to bed and hasn't had any accidents yet. I put her to bed usually between 8-9 depending on if it's a weeknight or weekend, and I make her go pee right before bed, then when I head to bed, usually around 11 or 12, I wake her up and take her pee again and put her back in bed. So far, so good. I'd love not to have to buy diapers or pull ups anymore for awhile!

After Michael got home from work, he wanted to go to target and I had promised the girls since they were so good at all the stores today that I would take them to Rice School to play on the playgrounds there. So the girls and I headed over there while Michael went to target. Ella and Kaitlyne love that playground there. We stayed until it got dark and then headed back home. Michael is making chicken and gnocchi for dinner and the girls are upstairs playing :)

Friday 10/14

Michael was still at the apple store getting his new phone until 8:25 this morning. Kaitlyne got on the bus and Ella stayed at home w/ me since Abby was sick, I didn't want her going over to Timmy's house to play. Michael took a few naps, and then after K got off the bus, I started getting my coupon stuff together for a trip to Acme. At 3, I left here and met up w/ Jenn over at the Voorhees Olive Garden to have lunch and to show her the ropes re: couponing a little. Lunch was super yummy, I hadn't been to olive garden in forever.

After lunch we drove over to the Acme to do some of the deals. I got 10 boxes of gogurt at $1.24/box, that's pretty good. Some other deals on other items, and then I headed home. Michael had made the crust for the pot pie filling, so we had that for dinner (YUM).

Michael went to bed pretty early b/c he was still tired from staying up all night at the apple store, and the girls and I stayed up and I watched the Cardinals game while the girls hung out either up in their room or down in the basement. Cardinals won! If they win one more game, they'll be going to the world series!

Thursday, 10/13

Watched Timmy today, then after K got off the bus and Bethany came to get Timmy, the girls and I headed out to grocery shop. We went to the new wawa to get gas, then drove over to the bread store and bought some stuff there. Michael hadn't gone to lunch yet from work, so we met him at work and went out to lunch w/ him at 5 guys (YUM!). Then the girls and I headed over to Wegmans. I bought a ton of chicken, and also got my milk and frozen veggies there. Then we headed home. I put a pack of the bone in thighs I bought in the crockpot to make shredded chicken, and then I made a double batch of chicken pot pie filling. Too bad none of us were very hungry b/c we had eaten so much at 5 guys...so we just snacked around and kept the food I made for the next day.

Michael headed up to the apple store at Sagemore around 11pm to get in line to wait for the new iphone to come out. He was there until 8:25 the next day when the store opened and he finally got his new phone. wOoT.

10/7-10/12

Whoops, keep forgetting to update this, I suck at blogs. I totally forgot what we did on Friday 10/7. On Saturday, 10/8, Kaitlyne, Ella and I went to Abby and Kasey's birthday party at the skating rink in Cherry Hill. That was something else. Hard for me to deal with both girls by myself in that environment b/c I had to watch Ella (who obviously can't skate yet) but yet Kaitlyne isn't very familiar with skating and so I would've liked to have been able to skate with her, but what was I to do? Luckily, some of the other moms helped me out with holding her hand, etc. so that K could go out and skate.

Saturday night when Michael got home, K and I had a girls night and went to Target, the wine store, and then shoprite. Neighbors were having a party. fun.

Sunday we decided to drive over to Deptford b/c I was really craving Moes...mmmm...so we went there to eat and come to find out it was kids eat free day, so that was nice. We headed over to the mall afterward and looked around, but we had forgotten the stroller so we didn't stay long. On the drive home we detoured and ran by Krispy Kreme for a hot dozen. $8.69 or some crap. That's cuhrazy. But, they were yummy :)

Monday Kaitlyne had the day off of school for Columbus day, so we just hung around the house. Michael got to go into Philly for work to the 10! show at NBC Studios. They were featuring some new baby products, and he went and set up a crib and got to hang out in the green room, etc. He had a fun day.

Tuesday I watched Timmy, then Ella had speech at 2:30, Kaitlyne had ballet/tap at 4:45, then we came home and hung out the rest of the night. I went through our bank account and made an excel spreadsheet with how much we're spending eating out, at target/walmart, groceries, gas, and alcohol. Let's just say it was eye opening. I really really really need to curb my habit of eating out. I don't even go to fancy restaurants! Even sit down restaurants very often! It's this $5 here and there McDonalds or Chick fil a stuff that's adding up and getting ridiculous. And Michael is really good about it. He goes to genuardis and gets food for him to eat at work, etc. and I'm just horrible about it. I really need to work on it majorly.

Today after K got on the bus, Ella and I drove over to the garden state discovery museum and met up w/ Allie and Jenn for a playdate. Ella loves the museum and never wants to leave. We came home and got K off the bus and now we're just hanging out. It's a rainy day and Michael is closing so we'll probably just sit at home for the most part.

10/6 Thursday

Watched Timmy today, Kaitlyne had school and then when she got home we ate lunch. We got our water bill last night and it said we used 37,000 gallons in 3 months. Totally no way in hell we used that many gallons of water. Our bill is usually $150-$200 and this time it was $331. Something is UP. I asked Bethany how much hers was and she said $200. And they filled up their pool all summer a bunch of times, and other than that I would assume they use about the same amount of water as we do in our family. I called the TEMUA today and they're going to come out next week and try to reread to see what's up. If they say nothing's wrong, I'm not sure what the next step is going to be.

Anyway, after lunch, Kaitlyne saw some of her Kindergarten friends walking by, and so she went out to talk to them. It was Jordan and Jillian, and Jillian's mom was one of the moms I had met at the room parent's tea. They invited Kaitlyne to walk down to the park with them to play. It worked out great, b/c Ms. Kathy was getting ready to come for Ella's speech lesson.

Kaitlyne came back an hour or so later, Ella did well at her speech session, and I decided to take a nap and let Michael hang out with the girls. After I got up, we decided that I would go grab a pizza I had a coupon for at Sal's, take back something at wal mart, and then get some gas (and beer for michael). I rented a movie at redbox, and we're sitting here now watching "The Dog Who Saved Halloween" with the girls snuggled up on the couch :)

10/5 wednesday

Ella went over to Bethany's house this morning, Michael was closing, so after school the girls and I packed a lunch and went to the wooden playground to have a playdate with Jenn, Katelyn and Allie. The girls had a good time, afterward we came home and relaxed, I helped Kaitlyne with her homework, watched Survivor, and waited for Michael to get home.

10/4 Tuesday

Another school day here, I watched Timmy this morning, and Kathy called to reschedule Ella's speech appointment. When Kaitlyne got home from school, she had forgotten her backpack, so we had to go up to the school to get it b/c she thought that she was going to be student of the day the next day. She had dance, then we came right home and I left the girls here w/ Michael and I went to the girl scout informational meeting.

When I got to the meeting, one of our neighbors was there, Ms. Kathy was there, and a few other people that I recognized from PTA, etc. This "informational" meeting turned out to be a disorganized recruiting session for new volunteer troop leaders. It was a hot mess. Long story short, I ended up stepping up with one other parent to be a daisy troop leader. We have to go through training, background checks, etc. then we're probably going to start having meetings at Katilyne's school at 7pm on Thursdays in November. The council is having a big halloween disco for the girls and the end of the month, so that sounds like it will be a fun time. We'll see how the whole troop leader thing goes, hopefully it won't be too much.

Monday, 10/3

Today was the first day back at school after a long weekend for Kaitlyne. She was excited to go back. She got on the bus, and Ella went over to Bethany's shortly after. I had to go to the room parent tea at Kaitlyne's school. I'm going to be an assistant room mom, there were a lot of moms there for Kaitlyne's class. There is going to be a party for Halloween, a "winter" party, an end of year party, and some activities for Dr. Seuss' bday and an alphabet buffet. The other moms were pretty nice too.

Lazy day Sunday today. Nice and chilly fall day. We just hung out at home all day long, took a walk (Kaitlyne rode her bike, the rest of us walked) to the park. Came back home and Ella and I took a nap. Michael made yummy fried chicken and biscuits and fixed up some of the mac and cheese I had in the freezer. Ella is doing better and better with potty training. Kaitlyne goes back to school tomorrow after a four day weekend, she's ready to be back in school.

Today was a longgg day. Michael left for work early to go to the Philly Parent Circle festival thingy at Smith Park. The girls and I were up at 6:30 to head to Jenn's for our 2nd attempt at a yardsale. Let's just say it didn't work out so well. The girls were good, but I literally only made $9.50 and I think Jenn made like $11 or something. Totally ridiculous. We got home around 1230 and the girls had lunch and then we all took a nap.

Then tonight was date night. The girls went over to Bethany's and Michael and I went to Famous Dave's barbecue place in Cherry Hill. The manager of that restaurant had given michael a $25 gift card, so we used that for dinner. Phillies and Cardinals were playing their first playoff game against each other, so we sat in the bar and watched the game, cardinals didn't do so hot :(

After that we went over to buy buy baby and walked around for a bit, then drove by wineworks and bought a bottle of wine. Then we came home and got the girls from bethany's, watched some tv and went to bed.

Friday, Sept. 30, 2011

Kaitlyne had blood drawn this morning for her cholesterol check. She didn't cry the whole time, even though they took forever to find her vein :( But afterwards, she almost threw up. I think it was from her having to fast 12 hours before getting the blood taken. I had brought apples and juice with us, so she was able to eat right after and felt better a few hours later. She was out of school today b/c of teacher inservice.

Michael was off today, so he's taking the girls to freedom park right now...we'll see how that goes. Kaitlyne wanted to show him the park so bad, but he hates going to the park, but he just left with them, so hopefully they'll have a good time.

Beautiful day today! Sunny and 77. I put up some of the halloween/fall decorations today. Michael is smoking a pork roast on the grill for dinner :) Jenn and I are having another yard sale tomorrow, and then Michael and I are having a date night tomorrow night. The kids are going to hang with Bethany and her kids.
